I write to confirm my experience with Aston Ryan Malcolm accountants and to acknowledge their contribution to the Allstaff Group of Companies.
The Aston Ryan Malcolm organisation was appointed in 2001 to provide accounting, taxation and auditing services including the preparation of statutory financial accounts. Andrew White, Audit Manager, for example, ensured that he understood our business, arranged audit work to suit our business timetables and was available to assist and/or advise on our internal control procedures and compliance obligations.
Dennis Malcolm, Partner of Aston Ryan Malcolm was appointed to restructure the Allstaff Group in 2002/3. Dennis became our Business Consultant and attended monthly Director meetings to provide independent financial and management advice, for example, research into business opportunities, business valuations, banking arrangements, and capital expenditure proposals.
Dennis became the link between the Executive Directors and Non Executive Director/Owner and provided an independent and objective interpretation of management financial reports. He made himself available to discuss issues with Directors and Management. His knowledge, experience and personality provided a better understanding of complex business and financial issues. This relationship ultimately provided the basis for informed decision making.
Dennis provided business network opportunities including contacts with bankers and legal personnel. Aston Ryan Malcolm managed the Consolidated Taxation for Group Companies, the sale strategy of the Allstaff Airconditioning Group of Companies and the related Due Diligence program. This ultimately led to the sale of the business to BSA Limited in December 2009 and the regrettable end of ten years of successful business and close personal relationships.
Aston Ryan Malcolm provided other services including Taxation, Superannuation and Investment opportunities. The staff were always friendly and attentive to our needs or calls for help. These personal relationships, in addition to professionalism, had much to do with the success of the Allstaff Airconditioning Group.
